Week 4

This week I was working on the head. First, I planned it to be only an attempt but after everything I have done on it I think I can make it as a final head of my character. It had many flaws, of course, I struggled with polygons so much. The biggest problem for me was extruding the faces, because it often happend that one face was going the opposite direction than the other one. Another problem was the symmetry. After I modelled whole face I found out that vertexes to do overlap, so it is not symetrical at all. Because I had almost whole face, I did not want to just start over again, so I tried to fix it at first and I was successfull. 





The most difficult part for modelling was the nose. I had to re-do it many times and once I even found strange vertexes with hidden faces (???) inside of it, so I had to delete whole nose and start again. The nose took most of my time but not I am quite happy with it. 




The other struggle was the space inside of the mouth. The polygons never did what I wanted them to, especially during extruding, but after all it came out alright, with all polygons in quads, while nothing is inside out.






Now I need to finish the whole head, eyes and add more creases into the skin, especially around the eyes. Unfortunately, I did not have time to start the body again, because I spent a lot of time working on the face, but I think it was worth it, because I learned a lot, so I probably will not make so many mistakes on the body.
